Service Awards Competition
It’s that time of the year!!! I know it is cold but it is time to get together as a community and raise money for our fellow students. Welcome to the world of Service Awards Competition 2013!
Service Awards Competition is sponsored by the Purdue Net Impact-grad chapter. This is our first annual fundraising effort for the Purdue graduate business Summer Internship Program which supports our students who are pursuing internships at social enterprises, non-profits, and government agencies where summer salaries aren’t a part of the picture. In addition, the program enables organizations that otherwise could not afford to hire interns to benefit from students’ expertise in areas such as finance, management consulting, accounting, human resources, operations, strategic planning, and marketing. In the end, it’s a great way to raise funds for an extremely noble cause.
So how does it work?
Each KGSA club has to come up with a creative way to serve our community however they see fit using their club members (between January 22 – March 29). Rules are short but judging will be based on the following:
- Creativity and innovation
- Impact to target market
- Photos and videos
- Attendance at the service awards banquet (more on that later)
The fundraising goal for this year is $20,000, and it will take every member of Krannert to help. The 1st ever service award winner will be announced at the Service Award Banquet in April!!! Excited?
Here is how to sign up!
March 1: Deadline for clubs to enter the Service Awards. Name of Organization, intended beneficiaries and plan
March 29: Last day to perform service activity
April 3: Deadline to turn in all judging material
Service Award Banquet: Winners will be announced!!!!
